American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry provided the rousing finale' at the FH-sponsored BLINK Festival in Canal Fulton, Ohio this past weekend. Other groups to perform over the course of the two-day festival included bands such as The Myriad, Pillar, MXPX, Anberlin, Thousand Foot Crutch and 12 Stones.

Jeremy Willet (lead singer of FH band Willet) and Crystal Miller (Columbine survivor, author, and FH ambassador), made impassioned appeals throughout the two-day festival and even donned the groovy FH Red Apron to walk through the crowd with sponsorship packets. The entire Willet band got in on the fun!

Although attendance was unexpectedly low, Food for the Hungry still saw 43 children sponsored at the first ever Blink festival. FH volunteers from as far away as Youngstown, Ohio, made the trek to help the Artist Program with handing out packets and talking to prospective sponsors at the two FH tents. A huge thank-you goes out from the Artist Program to Daniel, Linda, Alison, Jackie, Tarisha, Vicki and Shalome!
