serving in peru
The Lord has brought Neil and Kelsey to a united desire to serve despite two different Christian upbringings. As a child, Kelsey spent nearly three years in Bolivia and Peru with her parents and brother, serving as missionaries. Neil has some missionaries in his extended family but had always said he would never become a missionary himself.
Neil has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from George Fox University and is finishing his M.A. in teaching at Willamette University. Kelsey has a B.A. in Health and Human Performance from George Fox University. Both have been involved in several short term mission trips to Mexico and have experienced a strong calling to work with people in Spanish speaking countries.
God has chosen to use Neil and Kelsey’s lives, experiences, and Spanish speaking skills to minister in both word and deed with FH in Pucallpa, Peru. The Cantralls have a burden to physically minister to the people of Peru. Kelsey is preparing to be a public health worker and promoter of the child development program. Neil will be teaching English to nationals of all ages, along with being involved in a pilot program in the town of La Perla. This program is designed to give vocational training and trade skills to the older adolescents of the community.
