India/Pakistan Earthquake Relief
On the morning of October 8, 2005 at 8:50 AM, an earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale tore through the regions of Pakistan and India killing over 80,000 people and leaving almost 3 million more homeless.

Within days, Food for the Hungry and local parters were on the ground bringing immediate assistance to provide:
  • care kits
  • winterized shelter tents
  • blankets
  • purified water
  • and other emergency relief supplies
Our work in Pakistan still continues today as we go to the hard and remote villages in Pakistan's higher elevations. The harsh winter has arrived and the need for relief supplies and winterization kits is at an urgent level. We ask that you would pray for the safety of our staff working in this harsh region. Use these pages to explore and stay updated on the work that is being done in Pakistan.
