In many of the areas we serve, women and children must walk for up to eight hours a day to gather water. They hike up rocky cliffs, through dangerous forests and across hot sand to scoop water from filthy ponds, infested with deadly parasites and bacteria. A bore hole well can make all the difference! Families who will benefit from the water help install the well and learn to maintain it. Having a close, clean water source will eliminate disease and allow moms and dads to spend more time earning income or growing food for their families.
