Help Food for the Hungry as we continue to walk alongside the poor living in extreme poverty. Emergency Relief

Food for the Hungry's Emergency Response Unit (ERU) responds to people affected by wide-spread tragedies such as drought, famine, natural disasters, and war/instability. Through your faithfulness, we can bring hope to many who feel hopeless, providing food, water, temporary shelter and other much-needed supplies.

Transformational Development

Food for the Hungry walks with leaders, families and churches to help them recognize and reach their God-given potential. Together, we seek sustainable change that physically and spiritually transforms entire communities, implementing food, agriculture, water, child development, health, sanitation, HIV/AIDS, micro-enterprise, and church development initiatives.

HIV/AIDS

Food for the Hungry responds to the HIV/AIDS pandemic by providing physical, spiritual, and social support, including abstinence and prevention education, caring for orphans and vulnerable children, counseling and caring for those too sick to leave their homes, and facilitating support groups for women with AIDS.

Shipping / GIK

Food for the Hungry regularly receives donated medicine, food, and other supplies that are shipped and distributed to impoverished communities around the world. Once the donated goods are boxed and ready for shipping, we rely on generous donors like you to help pay the shipping costs to deliver these much-needed goods to where they are needed most. Your gift can have a major impact, since a $1 gift sends $53 worth of supplies. So a $100 gift = $5,300 of help!

USAID Matching

Thanks to government grants received from USAID and other government agencies, every $1 you give unleashes $20 in lifesaving help. This allows your generous gifts to help even more as we reach out to the poor in the hard places. Government funding does not change the way we approach our ministry – it is simply an indication that USAID finds us to be effective at transforming the lives of poor families and communities. As a faith-based organization we acknowledge that any success we have is through His grace and for His glory!

Children’s Ministry

Sponsor a child: Through sponsorship, your monthly gift can bring hope hope to a child, their family and even their community.

H.E.A.R.T. Fund: The H.E.A.R.T. (Health Emergency Action Response Team) fund allows you to help children with life-threatening medical conditions requiring urgent care.

Education by Extension: When you give to education by extension, you enhance our sponsorship ministry by creating opportunities for impoverished children to receive the education and skills they need.

Child Survival: Our child survival program provides the skills, tools and training mothers need to care for their children and combat malnutrition.
