International Women's Day 5K Walk in Phoenix, AZ - March 11, 2012
If you are in the Phoenix area, come join us! On March 11 at Steele Indian School Park we will be walking on behalf of women who face the harsh reality of discrimination, persecution and isolation. Together we can support women in Bangladesh who are striving to release potential and overcome poverty in their communities.
As we walk, our goal is to raise $10,000. We have a match that will allow us to DOUBLE the impact of every dollar donated until we meet our goal! Will you join us?
When: March 11th, 2012 at 2pm
Where: Steele Indian School Park, Phoenix, AZ
Cost: Free! But your support is needed!
Please complete the online registration form (http://www.fh.org/walk-sign-up) to let us know you're coming. Once we receive your registration information, we will invite you to set up a personalized fundraising (http://grouprev.com/womenofaction) page online.
If you aren't able to participate in the walk hosted by Food for the Hungry in Phoenix, Arizona, consider hosting your own event! Ask a few friends to walk 5k (approximately 3 miles) with you. Together, you can set your own fundraising goal! This is an exciting way to partner with women across the nation in supporting women around the world!
