Last October, LifeLight visited Ethiopia for a second time and saw the drastic changes their child sponsorship was making in Zeway. After visiting Belo, Ethiopia, LifeLight is excited once again to get to impact a new community for the sake of Jesus Christ and his Gospel. THEN At last year’s LifeLight festival, more than 270 individuals, youth groups and families answered God’s call to care for those in need by sponsoring a child in Zeway, Ethiopia. Thank you!! As a result, children in Zeway are receiving supplies and tuition to attend school, and they are receiving school tutoring. They receive better health care and are learn about common diseases and how to prevent them. Families are receiving mosquito nets and medicine to kill intestinal worms. And children and their families are receiving the Good News of the Gospel. They are learning of God’s love and plan for them. NOW This year, LifeLight is responding to a great need in Belo, Ethiopia, a community lacking many necessities for life. There is not ONE doctor in all of Belo, with its population of nearly 26,000 people. There is a health clinic, but it is poorly staffed and ill-equipped. Education of children is not commonly valued, instances of rape and physical abuse are common, and AIDS is a common threat. Food for the Hungry is working against all these things with long-term solutions, but your help is desperately needed!
