Food for the Hungry goes to the hard places to bring hope to many who face seemingly hopeless circumstances. “God calls us particularly to those places of poverty that are hurting and often unstable,” says FH President Benjamin K. Homan. Our calling is to go to ‘rocky terrain.’ “If we wanted smooth paths, we would not venture into places such as Darfur (Sudan), Northern Uganda, Cambodia, Bangladesh and so many other places.”

A significant part of our ministry involves Child Sponsorship – a unique and relational program in which you can engage your sponsored child one-on-one through personal letters. Child Sponsorship impacts not one child’s life, but an entire family and community.

790 million people in the developing world are chronically undernourished. 30,000 children die each day due to poverty. A dollar a day can change that. Please prayerfully consider sponsoring a child through Food for the Hungry.
