Week 1 - Government Leaders
>>Pray that governmental leaders would lead with righteousness. Pray specifically for guidance and wisdom for President Museveni and for all of Uganda’s governmental ministers.
>>Pray for God to raise up a new generation of leaders for Uganda so Ugandans may follow in His paths and that righteousness may be exalted in the nation. In Africa, everything rises and falls on leadership.
>>Pray for the security of Uganda. The rebel group the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) has been kidnapping children, forcing them to either be sex slaves or fight and kill innocent villagers for about 20 years. Pray for justice and peace between the government and the LRA.
Week 2 - Churches
>>Pray that the church of Uganda will impact society. Over 80 percent of the population professes to be Christian, although the Christian community has very little visible impact on society. Pray that the Church in Uganda would respond and impact their culture.
Week 3 - Families
>>Pray for families devastated by the AIDS virus in Uganda. It is estimated that about three million live with the disease.
>>Pray for the children who have been captured by the LRA, that they would find ways to escape these cruel extremists. Pray also for the families who have been affected by their pillaging, that they would be able to rebuild their lives.
Week 4 - Partners, Projects & People
>>Pray for our child sponsorship programs in Uganda.
>>Pray for the HIV/AIDS programs we are implementing to address this increasing problem.
>>Pray for Food for the Hungry staff in the area, that they would rely on God’s strength in the midst of instability. |
