Bryant Myers
Ph.D., University of California at Los Angeles
Biographical Information:
Dr. Bryant Myers, currently a professor of transformational development at the School of Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary, is a lifelong activist dedicated to Christian relief and development work around the world. During his tenure with World Vision International, Dr. Myers worked for over 30 years in senior management roles and most recently as vice president for development and food resources. Dr. Myers' most recent books include Walking with the Poor: Principles and Practice of Transformational Development; and Working with the Poor: Insights and Learnings from Development Practitioner. Dr. Myers was one of the editors of a four volume series of holistic ministry case studies from around the world. Dr. Myers’ courses at Fuller include “Poverty and Development,” “Globalization and the Poor,” “Relief, Refugees and Conflict,” and “Advocacy for Social Justice.” |

Evvy Campbell
Ph.D. in Adult Education, Michigan State University
M.S. in Nursing Health Services Administration, University of Michigan
Biographical Information:
Dr. Evvy Hay Campbell is Chair and Associate Professor of Intercultural Studies at Wheaton College. She has also served with Wesleyan World Missions in Sierra Leone, West Africa and with MAP International, during which she coordinated health and development workshops and was Director of International Health. Dr. Campbell has a Ph.D. from Michigan State and a Certificate in Tropical Community Medicine and Health from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. She is a board member of World Hope, on the steering committee of Micah Challenge/USA, a member of the Billy Graham Center Advisory Committee, and Senior Associate for Holistic Mission with the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization. |

Brian Fikkert
Ph.D. in Economics, Yale University
Biographical Information:
Dr. Fikkert is an Associate Professor of Economics and the founder and Executive Director of the Chalmers Center for Economic Development at Covenant College. Dr. Fikkert earned a Ph.D. in economics from Yale University, specializing in international economics and economic development. He has been a consultant to the World Bank and is the author of numerous articles in both academic and popular journals. Prior to coming to Covenant College, he was a professor at the University of Maryland–College Park and a research fellow at the Center for Institutional Reform and the Informal Sector. |

Benjamin K. Homan
Biographical Information:
Dr. Benjamin Homan has served as Food for the Hungry’s President and CEO since 2001. Prior to this, he was Vice President at Covenant Theological Seminary. Now also chairing the Alliance for Food Aid, Dr. Homan has served in the past as President of the Association of Evangelical Relief and Development Organizations (AERDO) and as Chairman of USAID’s Advisory Committee on Voluntary Foreign Aid (ACFVA). In 2006, President Bush appointed Dr. Homan to the HELP Commission, a 21-member body created by Congress to propose reform for all of U.S. governmental foreign assistance. The Commission’s report, “Beyond Assistance,” was released in December 2007. He is a frequent conference speaker and has privately briefed senior government officials, including mayors, senators, members of Congress, current and former Secretaries of State, National Security Council members and the President of the United States. He and his wife, Annette, live in Arizona with their three children. |

Robin E. Baker
Ph.D. in History, Texas A&M University
M.A. in History, Hardin-Simmons University
Biographical Information:
Dr. Robin E. Baker is the president of George Fox University. His prior experience has included teaching history at Wheaton College, John Brown University and Grand Canyon University. As an experienced university administrator, Dr. Baker has previously served as George Fox University's provost, as an accreditor for the Northwest Commission of Colleges and Universities, and as senior vice president at Grand Canyon University. He currently serves on several boards for the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. In addition to his work in political history, Dr. Baker speaks frequently on the integration of faith and learning in the Christian university and he has a special interest in the works of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. |

Michael Pucci
Ph.D. in Classics, University of Nottingham
Biographical Information:
Dr. Michael Pucci is the International Director of Academic Programs for Food for the Hungry, seeking to bring together the worlds of academia and development – a commitment that he envisions will bring greater reflection into the work of holistic Christian missions and deeper transformation into the lives of those serving. He has lectured on topics spanning from the Ancient Greeks to Globalization at colleges in the UK, Singapore, and Hong Kong. He has also served in Singapore as Teaching Fellow at the National Institute of Education. Dr. Pucci is a Director of Springstart Education Group, an academic and educational program start-up consultancy serving Asia and the Middle East. He and his wife, Adele, are members of the Eagles community in Singapore, participating in their work of evangelism, discipleship, leadership, and mediation in Southeast Asia. He will be the moderator for the conference. |
