Hope is nourished by the memories of hardship over-come nearly a million people now call the sprawling refugee camps along the border with Myanmar home. Half of those who arrived during the exodus were children. Here in the midst of chaos and loss there remains smiles and care between people - siblings and adopted siblings alike. Here Community Health Workers visit the shelters of families who have visited the clinics to provide follow-up care and essential hygiene skills - now, as COVID 19 ravages the minds and where physical distancing is not possible these same Community Health Workers diligently combat false-messages about the virus while informing on best ways to avoid it - and what to do if someone in the household falls ill. They are also the first line of "Contact Tracing"
