Help a girl build an unstoppable future.

When poverty tells a girl she doesn’t matter, you can help her build an unstoppable future. Your sponsorship will nourish her physically, emotionally, and spiritually so she can build the future God intends for her – no longer limited by poverty and injustice.

Watch Miss Florida USA share what child sponsorship means to her – and see the moment she meets her sponsored child Dana in Peru.

Your sponsorship reaches every part of her life

One of the best things is the joy you’ll share with your sponsored child throughout the journey of your life-changing connection.

As a sponsor, your gift will:

  • Provide essentials like food, clean water, and healthcare for her and other children in her community.
  • Equip her with education, mentors, leadership skills, and emotional support.
  • Help her family find ways to earn stable income and lift themselves out of poverty.
  • Root her in hope and dignity through faith and community.

You can pray, write, encourage, exchange, read, and discover. It will change your life, too!

Physically nourished

You help provide nutritious food, clean water, healthcare, and a safe environment so she can grow strong and stay in school.

Emotionally supported

Caring adults, safe spaces, and education help her heal from the daily stress of poverty and dream beyond survival.

Spiritually encouraged

In partnership with you, local leaders, and churches, she’s reminded she is loved by God, made with purpose and full of potential.

See sponsorship through a sponsor’s eyes

When Lou Schieffelin, Miss Florida USA, first said “yes” to sponsoring Dana in Peru, she had no idea how much it would change both of their lives. Through letters, prayers, and finally meeting in person, Lou has seen Dana’s confidence and hope grow.

“There are thousands of girls like Dana … who still need sponsorship” – Lou Schieffelin, Miss Florida USA

Rooted in God’s heart for justice and mercy

“Partnering with Food for the Hungry has been a life-changing experience. Knowing that each member of the team has a heart for these children and for Jesus makes this all the more impactful. Pointing young girls back to their Heavenly Father with each message of encouragement, reminding them of their divine worth, purpose, and unshakeable identity in Christ, is a privilege that continues to deepen my faith and reaffirm why this mission matters so deeply.”
