THE LARRY WARD SOCIETY

Dr. Larry Ward founded Food for the Hungry (FH) in 1971, having been deeply moved by the realization that thousands of children were dying every day from hunger-related causes. His premise was simple: If children died one at a time, he could help them one at a time. Thus began his lifelong mission to serve the world’s most vulnerable people in the hard places.
Since these humble beginnings, FH has been blessed with many supporters, friends, and leaders along the way.
Leaders like you.
Many work to end poverty in our world. But only a few are able to give as abundantly as you do. The Larry Ward Society is comprised of those who lead the way with their commitment and generosity in support of this global effort. Named for Dr. Larry Ward, this society not only honors a generation who battled poverty in the past, but even more importantly, focuses concentrated energy on the goal of ending poverty in the future. As you give toward the proven-effective work of FH around the world each year, you are recognized as a member of this extraordinary group of partners.
