Gary Edmonds is the President of Food for the Hungry (FH) and serves out of its corporate headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to stepping into his role as President in 2014, he served on the FH Board of Directors for eight years. Gary also serves as President of Breakthrough Partners and in the past has served as the Secretary General of the World Evangelical Alliance. He gave leadership for the collaboration of 4 million churches and more than 130 international organizations in 127 nations. Additionally, Gary co-founded Micah Challenge, served as Executive Director of Churches Together, and was the Associate International Director of Interdev. He also ministered in Southern California as Senior Associate Pastor of Mariners Church. Gary and his family lived in Europe for 18 years, where he served as President and European Director of Christian Associates International, focusing on leadership development and church planting, and as Senior Pastor of Crossroads Church in Geneva.
Gary graduated from UCLA with teaching credentials in Mathematics, followed by degrees in Missiology and Theology from Fuller Seminary and Regent University, respectively. He currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with his wife Tricia. They have four children and seven grandchildren.
