Jerry Kazadi is the Country Director of Burundi at Food for the Hungry (FH) and serves out of FH’s office in Bujumbura, Burundi. He has worked in the field of community development and relief for 18 years. Nine of those years were spent in a leadership role. His expertise is in program management and strategy development. Jerry joined FH in February 2019 as the Country Director of Burundi. In this role, he represents FH in all strategic meetings with the government and other key stakeholders involved in humanitarian and development work in Burundi. Additionally, he provides leadership to the FH team in Burundi to ensure the country’s program strategy is implemented in alignment to the FH Heartbeat and the organization’s desired goals.
Jerry earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and a diploma from the University of South Africa (Pretoria) in Development Program Administration for Development Practitioners.
He says, “ministering to the most vulnerable and making God’s love real,” is what inspires him most about his work with FH.
