This set of farm tools may include items such as a hoe, a shovel, a machete, pruners, garden trowels, garden gloves, sickles and watering cans. When a farming family has quality farm tools, they can effectively take care of their crops, resulting in a better harvest, improved nutrition and a higher income.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Anguache Wall is a 35-year-old farmer who lives in Ethiopia with her husband and three children. Even though they tried endlessly to produce quality vegetables, they never were able to grow enough to feed their family. When she joined FH’s health and nutrition program, she received agricultural tools that helped her to be more efficient along with training on crop production, compost preparation and local seed production techniques. Now her family’s health and income are successful.
