SCHOOL LATRINE

$5,035.00

A latrine ensures that water systems are kept pure from human waste, kids feel safe and protected while doing their business, and families remain healthy. Diseases like cholera and typhoid can spread without these essential latrines, which are key to maintaining a healthy environment for those already fighting illnesses.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Cherilia Aneus is a 35-year-old mother of four living in Haiti. Before FH arrived in her community, Cherilia would just go to the bathroom outside without realizing the effects it had on her and her family’s health. She has been able to attend health education sessions facilitated by FH in her community and now her family uses a latrine and has implemented hygiene practices that have kept them healthy.
