20 coffee seedlings are enough to start a thriving coffee plot. Successful coffee cultivation can provide a vulnerable family the means to create a sustainable livelihood. Since coffee is an important cash crop in many parts of the world, this plot ensures a steady stream of income through the sale of coffee, lifting them out of poverty.
COFFEE SEEDS CHANGE A FAMILY’S LIFE!
Eva Maruhusa is from the DRC. Six years ago, her husband died, leaving her and her six children with nothing but an abandoned coffee field. Eva didn’t know what do with the abandoned land, but then FH gave her coffee plants and training sessions. She now belongs to a cooperative of 1,500 coffee growers. Eva says she is improving the living conditions of her family and is able to provide for her children.
