Help rehabilitate existing health centers by equipping them with beds, mattresses and mosquito nets. These health centers serve a population of approximately 20,000 people.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Well-equipped health centers and hospitals mean people can access quality healthcare close to home. Improving sanitary facilities means that hospitals will have access to latrines. This will lead to a cleaner environment and less risk of disease and contamination. Improving the maternity wing of the health centers means that physicians can better help women with problematic pregnancies and deliveries — even saving the lives of both mothers and children. Hospital beds will have both comfortable mattresses and mosquito nets, so that patients don’t spread or contract malaria or other mosquito-borne diseases.
