Careers

We’re bringing hope to the hard places and we need people like you!

A career at Food for the Hungry is more than just a job; it is a part of something bigger. We believe that where your job description ends your ministry begins. Our staff are intentionally placed in positions to help us end extreme physical and spiritual poverty for the world’s most vulnerable communities. Our work is just as much about our staff as it is about the beneficiaries in our communities.

Make an impact wherever you are!
We have three primary points of operation in which our US-based staff serve, Phoenix (Headquarters), Nashville, and Washington, DC. We also have US and International staff serving in Asia, Africa and Latin America. If you are called to be a part of an organization doing a God-sized mission, come walk with us. Hear from our staff around the world about why they love working with Food for the Hungry!
Alex Mwaura

Position: Program Director, Kenya

Time with FH: 8 years

Why work for FH: The FH ethos is extremely appealing to me. I get to work with a group of talented, creative, hardworking and vision-driven people; guys who simply yearn to bring hope (in their own respective ways) to a hurting world. Moreso, we are courageous enough to want to end poverty, worldwide!

Paola Cardona

Position: Communications Coordinator, Guatemala

Time with FH: 3 years

Why work for FH: I was studying graphic design at university and I was praying to find a place where I can use my skills to serve others. I think God responded to my prayers by calling me to serve here. Now, I have been working as a communications and public relations coordinator for three years and I’m so excited about what God is doing through our work in the communities where we serve and in ourselves.

I really love the way we understand poverty and development and how we involve families and children in their own growth.

Do you feel called to End Poverty?

"He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?" ~Micah 6:8
