Overflowing with Gratitude

As we approach Thanksgiving, it’s a time to reflect on the abundance of joy and gratitude that fills our lives. This season, we are reminded of the remarkable resilience and unwavering spirit of children around the world.

These children’s stories are not just about overcoming challenges, but about embracing every moment with hope and thankfulness. Join us in discovering the inspiring ways these young hearts find happiness and express their gratitude.

Watch the videos below to hear directly from sponsored children about the many blessings they count every day, and the joy that radiates through their lives.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.

– Psalm 118:1

Sponsored children living in Cambodia remind us we should be thankful for loving grandmothers, indeed! Their joy is contagious  – and their drawings of their grandparents make their message all the sweeter.

Brigita from Indonesia is thankful for friends and God’s protection! We can learn from her gratitude to always remember God’s presence in our lives.

I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
– Psalm 9:1

This last gratitude message is from a young boy in Cambodia. He’s thankful to his parents for caring for him. His gratitude reminds us of the loving family members in our lives who ultimately point us to God’s lovingkindness.

Did these children’s responses sound familiar? Maybe they were very similar to what you’re thankful for – friends, parents, grandparents.

Today, think of your own gratitude list. Who makes your life brighter? And how can you share your gratitude with those people?

Another way to express gratitude is by writing to your sponsored child.  You can let them know how grateful you are for them! Your kind words will encourage your sponsored child and point them to God’s love.

I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples.”
– Psalm 57:9
