See what children are thankful for!
Sometimes the most powerful lessons in gratitude come from children. Because in a world of wants, kids can remind us of what we really need.
Renata, 9, (above) from the Dominican Republic, shares what really matters to her:
“My little brother is the person I enjoy spending time with the most. I especially love playing tag and bottle-cap games with him.”
“I feel very happy and grateful to share those moments with my brother.”
Her joy reminds us to give thanks for the people God puts in our lives, and for the small everyday gifts of love and laughter.
What are other girls and boys thankful for in the countries where friends like you sponsor children?
Here’s more from the Dominican Republic…

Chaner, 15, says: “I enjoy riding my bike; it’s my favorite hobby and something I’m really grateful for. When I get out of school, I grab my bike and go for a ride.”

And in Cambodia…

Thona, 12, (right) says “I’m thankful for my mom who always cooks delicious food for our family, helps me with my homework, and teaches me to stay clean and healthy. When I feel sad, she’s the one who makes me smile again. I’m so lucky to have her to bring joy to my life!”

Romonea, 15, (left) says: I’m thankful for my friend Raksa. She helps me learn how to write and become an author. She always encourages me to read storybooks from our school program. Because of her, I now enjoy reading a lot! I’m also grateful to my mom. She loves me and the other kids so much. She always says kind and inspiring words and helps us study better.”
In Bangladesh…

Saramoni loves animals and is grateful for her pet cat, Mini, who she found alone on the roadside. Now Mini is part of her family!

In Uganda…

Young Grace says “I am thankful” that someone like you gave her “a goat that has now given birth to twin goats twice! I am confident that by the time I reach secondary level it would have multiplied three times, and my parents will sell and pay for my school fees. Here is me and my goats grazing.”

Teenager Isaac says he’s thankful for how someone like you helped provide chickens and “trained my family members on enterprise selection, and my parents selected poultry, and started raising 150 chickens! I now help feed chickens after school.”
Thank you for giving children so much to be grateful for, through your kind sponsorship and generous love!
