Meet 3 moms who started life-changing businesses thanks to a hand up from friends like you!

MARIA runs her own tortilla business, but not too long ago she wasn’t even allowed to attend local meetings in her community in Guatemala.
“Women didn’t go out. We weren’t given permission,” she says.
Everything changed when supporters like you helped start a local women’s savings group.
“The group helped us emotionally,” Maria says. “And it’s more than saving money. We get business training too.”
“What I like most is that women are now able to make and save money to help our families.”
That’s the kind of impact you can make when you help moms join savings groups and start small businesses to feed their kids.

ANNA was abandoned by her husband. She couldn’t afford food or medicine, and her sons got sick.
Right when she needed it most, supporters like you stepped in to help her start her own food-producing garden, with extra to sell to her neighbors.
“I’m so grateful,” she says.
“My hope is to see my children go up heathy and successful, and that they never stray from God.”
Anna’s story shows what can happen when you help moms with training and resources to grow their own businesses and nourish their kids—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

CLAUDIA was able to start her textile business after she got the chance to join a savings group and take out a small loan.
“We had no funds to start a business. Food for the Hungry taught us how to save and we bought our first machine.
“Now we have 10 machines and employ eight people in the community.”
Thank you for considering how you can invest today to help more moms start their own businesses and lift their families out of poverty!
