We need you! View Volunteer Projects
Food for the Hungry volunteers help end poverty for the world’s most vulnerable people.
When you volunteer your time at FH, you’re playing a key role in ending extreme poverty. We rely on our volunteers to help us keep child sponsors connected to the transformational work that FH does all over the world. The dedication of our volunteers is life-changing for vulnerable children. Many of our volunteers find that giving their time to FH allows them to be a part of global missions without ever leaving home.
The mission of FH is highly dependent on our faithful volunteers. We need individuals with a variety of skills as well as those who are motivated to help in a variety of capacities. Volunteer opportunities include:
- Ongoing on-site administration duties with short-term or long-term commitments
- Assistance with special events
- Participation in one-day projects
FH WELCOMES A VARIETY OF VOLUNTEERS INCLUDING:

Important updates for volunteers:

- There are currently no volunteer opportunities in our international offices.
What kind of volunteer work is available?
Most of our volunteer opportunities are in the production and communications department. Attention to detail is an important skill, since we serve over 100,000 child sponsors by assembling child sponsorship packets, stuffing envelopes, and completing related administrative tasks.
Where do volunteers work?
Most of our tasks are completed in our Phoenix headquarters, located at 1224 E. Washington St. And, while we currently have fewer in-person events, some have resumed, primarily drive-in concerts with Christian recording artists that allow social distancing. If you’re interested in volunteering in various cities across the United States, visit our artist program tour page.
What time of day are volunteer opportunities available?
Most of our volunteer opportunities are Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. MST.
Can I come with my church group or other large party?
We are open to receiving small groups of volunteers with a maximum of 30 people. However, we are still adhering to the safety protocols of the CDC; we still require everyone to wear face-covering and social distancing when entering and moving around in any building on our campus. You can remove your mask when sitting in your workspace.
In what other ways can I help?
We love it when our volunteers want to make a bigger impact. You can become an FH advocate by connecting with us on our social media platforms, sharing our valuable content on your own social media, and recruiting your friends and family to become volunteers as well.
You can also make a difference by using the RoundUp App! It enables you to simply round up your credit and debit card purchases to the nearest dollar. The spare change is then donated to Food for the Hungry to help end poverty. Click here to learn more!
What if I don’t live in Phoenix?
We have volunteer opportunities all over the country supporting concerts by our Christian recording artist partners. Click here to see if we have any upcoming events in your area.
