Partnerships that Sustain Impact for the Long-Term

At Food for the Hungry (FH), we know that we cannot accomplish our mission of ending all forms of human poverty without the help of our generous supporters. Working together, FH and our partners grow resilience in the communities we serve. And we are so grateful for these partnerships that make positive change possible and enable us to make a bigger impact.

Looking back on 2020, we are grateful for our compassionate and faithful partners who claim FH’s mission as their own. These partners enable us to reach more communities and equip them to recover rapidly. And while there are different ways to partner and give, the generosity of every church, organization, and individual profoundly transforms the lives of those in need.

To celebrate our recently published Annual Report from 2020, read below about some of our key partnerships!

Grant Partners

From governments to multi-laterals and other organizations, FH is grateful for our grant partners. These agencies and organizations share FH’s commitment to eliminating the root causes of poverty, and we value their trust and investment. They enable FH to deliver on promises made … for even greater impact!

Some of FH’s partners from 2020 include USAID, UNHCR, UNICEF, World Vision, the World Food Programme, the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Free Wheelchair Mission, Vitamin Angels. And, of course, there are many more.

At times, FH has the opportunity to support other organizations in return.

For example, FH’s COVID-19 partnership helped LifeNet distribute nearly 200 handwashing stations to clinics. Telling people to wash their hands helps, but providing the facilities to make it possible and then demonstrating how to do it correctly helps even more. LifeNet is also working to procure supplies of personal protection equipment (PPE) for all clinics. Read more about this partnership and how FH’s support of another organization increased the impact.

Corporations and Foundations

FH’s corporate and foundation partners and donors are so valuable! FH is grateful to partner with so many corporations and foundations that are committed to the social good. Not only do our corporate and foundation partners create an impact for the most vulnerable, those actions demonstrate to their staff and clients the importance of giving back.

Thank you to the individuals, couples, families, corporations, and foundations that trust FH to steward financial resources with great care and make wise, strategic decisions. This generosity and trust leads to the transformation of entire communities!

One of FH’s many corporate partners is Jasco Products Company. Jasco is an industry leader in consumer electronics, providing one of the most comprehensive product portfolios of home automation, lighting, security, home entertainment, power, and mobility items in the industry. Both Jasco and Jasco Giving Hope Foundation are passionate about making an impact on global hunger, food insecurity, and malnutrition. Their partnership with Food for the Hungry makes this difference possible.

“Jasco is proud to be partnered with Food for the Hungry in an effort to address the global hunger crisis. It’s great knowing there are so many communities, families, and children being impacted daily by their efforts. We give all the glory to God.” – Bill Otte, Jasco CMO.

Church Partners

Jesus cares about the physical and spiritual needs of the people on this earth. Because of that, FH’s goal is to enable churches to engage in the work of Christ by serving those in poverty. Through child sponsorship and special projects specifically for the community, your church can be a part of that transformation. These church partnerships allow you to form long-term relationships. The good you do isn’t limited limited to those you sponsor and the communities Food for the Hungry serves. These relationships and projects also help you change the lives of those in your church who participate.

Child Sponsors and Individuals

FH could never go as far and reach the hardest places without our individual donors and sponsors. You enable FH to have a long-term presence in communities, preparing them to sustain impact long after we leave.

In 2021, FH is celebrating 50 years of seeking to end all forms of human poverty. For five decades, FH has gone into the hard places, closely walking with the world’s most vulnerable people. Since 1971, countless individual donors have impacted FH through monthly giving, legacy gifts, and estate planning,

Sharing messages of hope through letters written to sponsored children is equally impactful. FH’s work is all about relationships. When you sponsor a child through FH or give to the causes close to your heart, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with people and communities across the world. Start your sponsorship journey today!

FH is grateful for our partnerships in 2020 and beyond! Read more about FH’s impact in 2020 by flipping through our annual report.
